I had seen Dr. Gundersen for years regarding my ADHD and anxiety. On the other hand, Dr. Gundersen misdiagnosed me for my conditions. Also, she overcharged me for numerous visits. She was not compassionate and her lack of expertise led to ineffective treatment.
My first impression of Dr. Gundersen was that she was personable, likable, and listened to my concerns. I felt comfortable sharing my feelings in a safe place. She was relatable, and gave feedback that was helpful. It was a real treasure to find a trustworthy psychiatrist that I liked, took Medicare, was close by. She did not impress me with “Psychotherapy “ abilities. If you are ok with rather superficial sharing and routine responses then that’s what you can expect. I found myself becoming more and more frustrated that she had no recollection of what I told her a week or 2 ago. She took notes, but those didn’t seem to be helpful to her. Never met the woman. Was referred and called. Oh yes she will get back in 24 hours well it has been like three maybe 4 days. Just another worthless drug pusher
