Ok here we go. 1 year ago Dr. Dirk DeBrito was kind enough to begin treatment of my son Kyle. Kyle was very dark, depressed and hopeless due to his condition. First & foremost the Doctor informed me the mom that He(Dr. DeBrito) (as my son turned 18 on the day of his first appt) - worked for Kyle not his mom or dad! This is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. In two visits I feel I made more progress than in YEARS with my old doctor. He is extremely well trained, and I can tell right away--he listened carefully and was right there with me. He had insights I had not had before in the FIRST visit--absolutley amazing, seriously changing my life kind of stuff. Does this provider ever overbook appointments here? Never! They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking. Does this provider adhere to the customer is always right policy? Yes, they listen to all complaints and make every effort to correct the situation.
I'm not sure why there is some negative feedback. I've had several appointments with Dr. De Brito and I am completely satisfied and happy with his treatment. I have Adult ADHD and depression, probably had ADHD my whole life but not diagnosed. I expected to just go on meds and that would be it. thats what the last psychiatrist I went to said. I didn't want to just take medications and I found with Dr. De Brito that he combines medication with talk therapy. That has helped me tremendously. My life, my relationship and my work ... read more

First of all, I only had one appointment with Dr. de Brito, and that was one appointment too many. I have never met such a pompous a**hole in my life. He belittled me, made fun of me and treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I left the office EXTREMELY angry. I would advise anyone who has been referred to him or is considering seeing him to STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. I kid you not. I've seen some really bad doctors over the last 25 or more years, but this guy takes it to a whole other level.
