I came to Dr Patel ..to get a 2nd opinion on tests from my newly diagnosed lymphoma. I wanted to hear her interpretation of the results and plan for going forward. She was personable, upbeat, confident and proffessional in explaining the results in a way i and my husband could understand. Her 20 over years of experience was evident. She answered all of my questions. She also gave me a thorough exam. She has become my primary oncologist for this journey.
Dr Patel-Donnelly was up to date with my record and treatments at MdAnderson, although it had been over a year since our last visit. She provided sound advice and addressed my concerns in a clear way. I appreciate her kind demeanor and warm care for myself and my family.
She focuses her attention on the patient the entire time during the appointment. She thoroughly explains the lab results then prompts to be sure I have understood. She has a positive attitude, and she generously shares her optimism with the patient.
