First of all, Dr. Dubinsky is very difficult to hold a conversation with. She interrupts you and seems disinterested in answering questions, which is extremely frustrating when you are a new parent. She has a generic answer which always stems along the line of "you'll figure it out". She seems as if the many years of being a pediatrician have gotten to her head and it shows through her cold snooty non approachable, impersonal bedside manner. Would not see her again. TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER - I would never recommend this doctor. She has the worst bedside manner. We were forced to see her when my son was 4 days old. She treated me like I was a bad mother, because I had a hard time breastfeeding. We had to see her another time, because my son was sick and she was the only doctor who was available. She was not helpful at all and didn't listen to any of our concerns. She had her opinions and didn't care to hear our thoughts.
Good staff at the office but this dr chose to attack me about my 8 year old daughter's weight in front of her when we were there to get an inhaler because she had begun an athletic program (to help control her weight) when my daughter began having asthmatic symptoms that run in the family. When I became upset and left this doctor then had her staff send me a letter with all of my medical records telling me that we could not longer be seen by her practice when we had been treated there since my daughter was born. Dr. Dubinsky is wonderful. She takes care of some of the sickest patients and those that need complicated medical care know they can trust her and have the best doctor. We wouldn't go to any other doctor.
The worst experience! Beware of this doctor! We were first recommended to this office by the fair oaks pediatrician but were warned that not all of the doctors were good. Unfortunately we had to deal with this doctor who misdiagnosed our newborn with severe jaundice and abnormalities scared us. Beware of this doctor!
Everyone at Fairfax Pediatrics is great and Dr. Dubinsky is wonderful. She's not our usual pediatrician but she went above and beyond to review the medical literature, consult with specialists, and answer our concerns for our daughter's unusual problem. And this was just to respond to a phone question, I've never even met her at a visit! But she is very thorough, friendly, and compassionate.
She is an excellent doctor, very caring.
