Dr Pateder has an amazing bedside manner. He makes it a point that the patient is clear on the surgery but also the importance of recovery. His support PA’s are great with following up and ensuring your recovery is as expected. I’ve had two surgeries with Dr Pateder and have been very pleased with the results.
Seeing Dr. Pateder for my lower back issues has been a great experience in a not so great circumstance. He has always been very honest in regard to my treatment and his approach has helped me understand exactly what is going on, with my back specifically, this is why I trust his diagnosis and have for years.
Dr. Pateder gave me back the life I thought I'd lost. I spent 3 years struggling with spinal pain. Every other doctor said I was not a candidate for surgery but Dr. Pateder saw it differently. I have been through many surgeries and this was truly one of the worst in recovery. But now, after 3 months I am very glad I took the chance to better my life. I am still in stages of recovery as anyone under similar circumstances would be. That is expected and I have Dr. Pateder and all the Reston staff.
After reviewing my MRI, Dr Pateder recommended a course of treatment for my spine injury. He recommended physical therapy, and it is going well. A recent x ray, showed that my fracture has healed well. I would recommend Dr. Pateder to family and friends.
Dr. Pateder impressed me during the initial consultation with this (a) careful listening to my questions, (b) direct answers to my questions, (c) showing me the MRI to illustrate the problem and solution, and (d) commentary on other non-standard treatment options. This gave me confidence in working with Dr. Pateder. Lauren and Veronica have been very quick and thorough in responding to my follow-on questions. Thank you all.
I was referred to Dr. Pateder after an ER visit dur to lower back pain. Dr. Pateder took the time to explain my problem and offered advice about different treatments that did not require surgery. That to me was a welcome diagnosis as I had been seen by other orthopedics before and surgery was the first thing out if their mouths
Dr Pateder and his staff are the best. Very caring, very responsive, extremely skilled doctor. I would recommend, and have several times, the provider and his staff and the entire clinic!! They are great!!
After dealing with multiple spinal issues (L3 through S1) over the course of more than 15 years, I met with Dr Pateder. He identified my issues and had a plan to treat all of them, at the same time. I had seen many Specialists over the years and no one was willing to work on one problem. After 8+ months of recovery & rehab exercises, Dr Pateder allowed me to return to the gym. Started slowly, but quickly regained strength & mobility. Many thanks to Dr Pateder, Lauren, April & Veronica!
