If there was a possibility of rating someone less than 0 stars, I would definetly assign Dr. Denise Wilkes a negative rating. She is the rudest, unprofessional, and ill equipped doctor I have seen in the last 10 years. No bedside manner, no patience to listen and no inkling of a desire to treat her patients. Today was my 3rd visit with Dr. Wilkes and the longest wait. She is thorough, listens, suggests & explains injections work for some yet not all and is for most patients, temporary. I will will agree with one of the patent comments "Dr. Wilkes is generous with her time". The downside is it keeps other patients waiting. Every appointment I've had with Dr. Wilkes has been a waiting game. My appointment today was 10:30am. Dr. Wilkes walked in at 11:30am. We had a brief exchange & mutually agreed to part ways.
Dr. Wilkes fell extremely short on everything. After 2 years I'm no better off than day 1. If you have a choice in which Dr you will be referred to please don't pick her. I had no choice and feel like I got the first Dr available. Choose wisely because you're stuck with that Dr and can't switch. She was condescending and lacked any compassion towards my symptoms. They want to sell the injections but they only work less than 50% of the time. For me it caused my glaucoma to get worse.
Met Dr. Wilkes for the first time today. She was excellent. Generous with her time, and really listened to my questions. Down to earth and thoughtful. Explains the current pain medicine environment well. Short wait, good staff. Highly recommend her.
