Dr Stokan is wonderful. She is kind, patient & very caring. She is cautious & conservative with medicating. My family adores her & has complete confidence in her

She has been my psychiatry, for about 24 years, I am very pleased, she really is an caring, and worries, for her patients, well being.
I have been seeing Dr.Stokan for over 10 years. Her personality is gentle and warm. She is very understanding and easy to talk to. I think of her as a close friend rather than a doctor. I strongly recommend her help in any matter you are having problems with especially anxiety and depression.
Truly cares about her patients, is excited when progress is made, and goes above and beyond to ensure the success if her patients if there ever are problems. She makes you feel okay for having "problems", explaining how the brain's chemistry can be to blame and how the medicine she prescribes counteracts imbalances. Makes you feel like even though you have a reason to see her, that doesn't make you any less normal. She helps make sure you're in control of your emotions not the other way around
I've been seeing her for over a decade and have referred several friends to her. I think she is absolutely amazing. I think there is room for improvement with the front office staff. I've had an appointment cancel and was not notified, messages have not been passed to the doctor several times and have been treated rudely on several occasions by a secretary but Dr. Stokan makes dealing with these occasional issues worth it. She is extremely competent and is easy to talk with and confide in.
Great listener. So encouraging. Really cares about her patients. Knows her stuff. Love this doctor.
