This was my 5th overall back surgery, 4th in this office. 3rd by Dr. Lewis. I appreciate using St. Lukes instead of Toledo Hospital. This also was my second fusion. The effect of the surgery was very rapid and so was the healing.
The cervical fusion I had done has relieved me of pain and numbness. I had been experiencing for quite a long time.
Started seeing Dr. Lewis several months ago he told me what he thought as wrong and after several imaging he was correct. He is very pleasant.
I would refer to Dr. Lewis any time.
Dr Lewis performed my back surgery 12/4/17. There were no complications & I was satisfied with my incision, But, I was dissatisfied with my post-op pain management. Dr. Lewis & I had discussed this topic pre-op. I was told that I'd receive a higher dose of pain meds & would be weaned to a lower dose. Of course, that's not what happened. Discharged with 7 days of the lowest dose, then received 10 more days. After that, referred to my PCP. So, 2 1/2 wks. post-op, I'm begging docs for pain relief!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Lewis and his staff. He removed a brain tumor from our mom recently. Through out the process he was kind, professional and made us feel comfortable. My mom is on the road to recovery and we are all grateful for his time and kindness.
