If I could give a negative rating I would. This man ruined our lives. He first prescribed pain medication...enabled addiction. Next my husband coded on the table during a routine procedure. Then the Medtronic device was implanted into my husband’s spinal column. The resulting cellulitis at the insertion site as well as a spinal cord abscess was treated aggressively with vancomycin. My husband suffered 12 strokes at the time and has yet to fully recover. Our lives will never be the same...
Dr. Keelen provided a way for me to get off ALL oral pain meds after 5 years. I don't have to suffer 24/7 as I had been and don't have the side effects of the pain meds. He always gets right back to me any time I need and always treats me with respect. I truly wish I had found him sooner.
He listens to me and takes the time needed to make sure I understand what course of treatment “we” are going to take and any concerns I may have.
As a patient, I have found Dr Keelen to be an amazing pain phycian. He listens to and cares. He has a great bedside manner. He had a mission and goal for me to be out of pain/decrease pain. He does not make you feel rushed. He listens to me and this is makes huge differences, I have decreased my pain by working with him and will be even decreasing it further. You have a good plan in place !
Dr. K is the most caring professional I have ever encountered. As a chronic pain sufferer with Degenerative Disc Disease, I have been through injections, surgeries and spinal stimulator that couldn't help. He implanted the Flowonix Pain Pump and I now have the relief I could only dream about. Throughout it all, he was always there telling me he would keep trying until we found help. He is on the cutting edge of this procedure and very knowledgeable. The office staff is excellent.
He has done more for me in 2 months than orevious pain dr din in 20 years! Great bedside manor and super smart. Great in surgery. .
Sr Keelen is not only a great physician but he has real compassion for his patients. That’s a quality you can’t learn in a textbook. I’m forever grateful not only for his expertise but his heart as well.
I am so thankful we have we found Dr. Keelen for my husband. He is passionate and so caring to his patients. He takes time, listens, and definitely wants to assist and take care of his patients. It is already difficult for me to go through the disease process with my husband and having an awesome Dr. Like Dr. Keelen just helps make it bearable in an unbearable situation.
