I have never met this man. He is my youngest Granddaughters Dr. Now that she is pregnant and as Grandma, I wanted to make sure she was well taken care of during this time. I have read Dr Scates credentials and I'm sure she has chosen the best Dr for her pregnancy and beyond. I was also impressed with Dr's credentials, including anesthetisology. Dr. Scates has provided me with care before pregnancy, during pregnancies, delivered all of my babies and continues to provide care to me after. He is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. He always takes the time to listen to you and genuinely cares.
This man was sent from God to save me and my child and I thank him from all of my heart. He knows what he’s doing he’s on top of it all. Best doctor I have ever met. I was an out of town patient and they took me in and cared for me and my pregnancy. Thank you Dr. Scates.

Been seeing Scates for years! I would recommend Dr Scates to any of my lady family/friends. He has previously helped me with a Leep procedure. He's very personable and knowledgeable.
Took care of myself during all three of my pregnancies along with Kathy Taylor, NP. Excellent care both medically and personally. Felt heard and cared for throughout the whole process and after. The office staff is fantastic as well. Even after I moved an hour away, I commuted to keep Dr Scates and his office as my OBGYN.
In prenatal visits, Dr. Scates listened to my concerns and put me at ease. As my due date came and went, I was nervous he might want to induce labor, but Dr. Scates said everything looked good and that we'd just keep going. I went into labor on my own at 41 weeks, and Dr. Scates helped turn my son into a more favorable birthing position. Dr. Scates let my body labor on its own time, and I delivered my 10 lb, 22" firstborn. I appreciated his friendly and relaxed manner, and office was great.
If you need an OB, go to Dr. Scates. He is knowledgeable and has a great bed side manner! Little hard to get Gyn appointments, but they have wonderful NP's to fill that need. I've been going there for 14 years. Highly recommend
