Dr. Ruggieri is an actual life saver. I had been having shortness of breath and dizzy spells for over a year. I was being treated by the VA, who ran all kinds of tests and repeatedly came up with nothing. I decided to get checked by Dr. Ruggieri. He immediately scheduled tests of his own. The tests didn't show any serious problem, but he erred on the side of caution and did a cath procedure to look inside the heart. He found 99% blockage and stinted me right then. He definitely saved my life.

I Have been seeing Dr. Ruggieri for over 15 years. I live in St. Petersburg and travel 1.5 hours for his services. He put my stints in over 8 years ago with excellent results. I recently started brining my 84 year old mother to him. She has been having heart erythema and orthostatic hypotension. He has gotten her off unnecessary medication and revised her current medications. He also called her personally for days to check on her progress. He is through and caring. He is direct and to the point.

I have know Dr. Ruggieri for over a year, and have always been impressed with his dedication to his patients, his unwavering commitment to seeing them become healthier versions of themselves, and his acute ability to bring a no nonsense attitude to all things healthcare. I find him stopping conversations and answering calls that keep him and his staff completely connected to the patients care. Having worked for physicians in the past, I understand that sometimes there is a pure scientific mind

Dr Ruggieri is a dedicated, straightforward, and world-class professional. Consistently I'm impressed by his unwavering commitment to patients, helping them become the healthiest versions of themselves. His acute ability to bring a no-nonsense attitude to all things healthcare and never sugar coat can be intimidating, but I'll take that scientist who gets to the point and tells me the truth any day, especially if there is genius to back it up, and Dr. Ruggieri has that genius in spades.

I have been his patient for 18+ years. Yes, he is abrupt,can be condescending, and is a bit obsessive about testing. All in all though, he is very thorough and extremely competent. If you're of the millennial train of thought, probaby go elsewhere as he won't coddle you.

I was shocked at how abrasive this doctor was.......he spoke over me when I was trying to explain things about my health, he rudely asked me why I thought certain ways, talking down at me. He was in a rush, told me I had chosen a wrong other doctor to see (regarding another health issue), write all over my chart setting me up with the doctors HE wanted me to go to, even though I had done tons of research into which drs were covered through my insuranceI am just so shocked at his behavior.

Dr. Ruggieri is the most rude, abrupt, abrasive, condescending, arrogant and judgmental doctor I've ever met. In my opinion, his practice is all about selling supplements and preforming unnecessary tests.. I consulted with another cardiologist and found out my heart is fine. My husband and 3 other acquaintances were all given the same spiel. It is my opinion he wanted to run more tests to put more money in his pocket. Worst experience of my life with a doctor. He is evil..

His approach is to shock you into undergoing lots of tests by dropping a huge and horrible diagnosis on you out of thin air. True, doctors don't get paid for talking, but this one almost bullies you into having "procedures". If you see him, be sure to get a second opinion before following any of his recommendations.

Excellent Dr. , he is very "to the point" which i appreciate. So, if you want to know whats wrong and how to address it then I would go see him. His office staff are excellent as well.
