I never had a visit. When I talked to the person that makes appointments she asked if I have ever saw an Orthopedic Dr before. I said about 10-15 years ago. I had bursitis in my hip and had gotten cortisone shot. She then informed me that if you have seen an Orthopedic Dr before he won’t see me. I needed to go back to the Orthopedic Dr that gave me the cortisone shot or find some other Orthopedic Dr. I don’t think a cortisone shot that many years ago should count.
He didnt listen to me and kept cutting me off
Was very satisfied with Dr. Ede for previous knee problems, have not needed treatment since 2018, I made an appointment after being told he is no longer in the Charleston office I still made the appointment, missed a day of work and drove all the way to Teays Valley. It was a waste of my time, after getting there I was seen by a very strange young man who said he was the PA, he had no information about me or my medical background, he didn’t even know my name. This guy is the greatest. Did my knee replacement and I was daily walking miles within a few weeks. No pain meds. Out of hospital within 24 hours. (Do the pre-surgery PT!) In all his knee replacements over the years of his practice, only ONE case of post-op infection.
He is the BEST
Very kind and caring. Excellent doctor. Answered all questions very honestly. He has an excellent bedside manner. Fixed me right up and I had one messed up shoulder!
I had a badly torn rotator cuff which resulted from a bad fall. I had heard horror stories of people who had the surgery and was apprehensive about having it done. Dr. Ede took the time to explain what I would experience. He said normally the surgery would take 2 hours but mine could take up to 3 hours. Now, less than 2 weeks after the surgery and one week of therapy, I am regaining the use of the shoulder and the pain has been minimal without the use of painkillers.
I absolutely love Dr. Ede. Very good bedside manner and excellent surgeon. I always recommend him to friends or those who are in search of an orthopedic surgeon. His staff are very friendly and compassionate as is Dr. Ede. Wait time in his office is the only con.
Dr Ede takes time to explain procedures and to answer questions . I appreciated the way he treated me with respect and listened to my concerns.
