I had both Hips replaced by Dr. Silber due to a rare form of arthritis. One in 2022 and the other in 2023. I had a complication with one soon after replacement and he immediately rearranged his schedule to determine what caused the complication and to take care of it. Dr. Silber is a straight forward professional surgeon. If you're looking for warm and fuzzy then look elsewhere. I had partial knee replacement surgery on May 13, 2024. Everyone in Dr. Silber‘s office, including Dr. Silber was very nice and answered all of my questions before surgery. After surgery, I received a call from Dr. Silber to see how I was doing. I followed the suggested follow up physical therapy and care and I’m now pain-free in that knee that was causing almost constant pain. I would recommend Dr. Silber, wholeheartedly..
Unable to reach anyone since calling at 8:30 this morning for excruciating pain from my hip surgery. I do understand the doctor is in surgery, however one would think perhaps his PA would return my call. Been 5 hours, called back and was on hold for over half hour and know no more now than I did before. Unacceptable to say the least.
Took my 87 year old father to see him for severe right hip pain. His PA Bridget was kind and thorough. When the doctor came in, he never even introduced himself and just started talking at us. Told my dad that, “Well, no one lives forever”. Very rude. He did explain that he couldn’t help him and he most likely had to see a different doctor. He couldn’t wait to get out of the room and his PA finished up with us. Maybe through all his terrible bedside manner he’s a good surgeon. I don’t recommend him to anyone.
Saw Silber today. He was rude, arrogant and demeaning. Told me I needed a hip replacement due to arthritis. I attempted to explain my concerns about doing that related to ongoing medical conditions... I am a retired R.N. and have knowledge concerning this procedure. He cut me off, he was condescending due to my age and sex. Raised his voice saying:"Why are you here!" "So what do you want???" I walked out saying we're done. Do you trust someone like this with your life?
