I can never thank Dr Sawyer enough for all that he and the nurse Lilly Ge did for helping my son get better quickly. He is an amazing doctor.
BEWARE! I don't do reviews but the disservice this man gave my parents I have to speak up! Ask around, bad reputation. As my parents got older & less able to care for themselves we began attending appointments with them. It was clear he'd rather engage in political debate than focus on what my mother needed. She was not being honest about her sleep patterns so I stated I purchased a sleep monitor & printed results for him, he got angry & told me I could leave the room, he wanted to hear from the patient. He took offense that... read more
"Dr. Sawyer has been my medical practitioner since 1988. He literally saved my life as my body was being ravaged by some serious bugs. He is an excellent infectious disease specialist. Dr. Sawyer has always been very positive and upbeat. He’s been there for me through the good, the bad and the ugly. He listens to my concerns and has a great bedside manner. Dr. Sawyer makes himself available by publicly posting his cellphone number. Also he has been flexible about financial matters that have helped me with my budgetary affair... read more
This Dr. provided ed me with incorrect information. When I consulted a team of 15 Drs. at UVA Hospital, they all told me that Dr. Sawyer was completely wrong and out of touch with current information. This same Dr. Sawyer got angry in his waiting room at me after I told him what the 15 UVA Drs. had told me. I was humiliated in front of his nurses....no other patients. Is this Dr. good enough to be your provider for Family Practice? ?? Dr. Sawyer needs to limit his practice to Infectious Disease
Dr. Sawyer has treated my family for over 20 years. He’s been excellent in diagnosing varied conditions ranging from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever to PE’s, CHF, Histoplasmosis and auto immune disease. He doesn’t hesitate to recommend specialists in other states and areas and consistently tries to treat his patients with the best medical care available. He’s truly a brilliant doctor.
I do not want this to get out but Dr Sawyer is the most thorough and up-to-date physician I have ever been to. As a patient he listens to me, spends as much time as is necessary given my current or chronic medical issue, and explains clearly and thoroughly the diagnosis and treatment options. He is easy to talk with and creates a comfortable environment in which to receive medical care. Dr Sawyer and his staff are accomodating to the patient's needs as well a pleasant professional medical staff.
Hi I do not usually write reviews often but wanted to say I am very pleased with Dr. Sawyer. I find him to be thorough more so then most doctors. He helped me through a recent work related injury with the proper referrals and imaging test to get more answers to my ongoing shoulder issues. He also helped provide care with my hand post operatively. His staff is wonderful and gets the job done promptly.
Dr. Dan Sawyer is an extremely knowledgeable, caring physician who clearly has the health and wellness of the patient as his highest priority. His nursing and administrative staff are the best.
Update from my initial April 7 review. Dr. Sawyer and his staff were great at my appointment. I thought I found a good specialist. It is now May 2, almost 4 weeks since my appointment, and I have yet to receive any communication from the office regarding my lab results and next steps. I am extremely disappointed, and to top it off, I owe almost $1k for the lab work that was done. Gosh, I hope I'm fine! My advice, go to someone else.
