Doctor Lis has now been both of my children's Doctor for about 9 years now. He is seriously the best Doctor that I could ever ask for. You can tell that he really cares about the kids and how they're feeling. He is so laid back but attentive at the same time. He's that Doctor with the stuffed animal on his stethoscope. Going around and around with dx for my son. He said there wasn't anything wrong. He know goes to a heart doctor. He never took blood for their yearly check ups either.
I am a chronically ill teenager who's had Dr. Liz as my primary care since I was born. Why I started showing symptoms of my chronic illnesses he told myself and my parents that it was likely anxiety and depression, and that I was a hypochondriac looking for attention. At my last physical he told me I was a terrible person for faking symptoms and swore at me multiple times, threatening to not treat me if I ever came back. Dr. Lis is wonderful! We've been going to him for over 5 years and we couldn't ask for a better ped's doctor. He's down to earth and funny. My boys ask for him any time they need to go to the doctors. He talks directly to the child which will help the child in future visits. He explains what he is doing, for example he explained what a hernia is and why a cough test is done on boys at physical. We all absolutely love him!
Dr. Lis is by far the best doctor I could ask for to trust with my childrens health. He gets on their level. Actually sits in the floor with the kids. This man is nothing short of amazing. Major kid at heart and great at his job. And he actually listens!! He genuinely loves every one of his kids. That's what he calls them????
When he speaks to me, I feel like he views me as a dumb parent with no clue and that I'm unaware of the previous care my child has received. Anytime my children have seen him - I leave feeling as if he didn't care, and didn't try to care. I ask not to see him, so I was very disappointed when I made an appointment with another doctor at the practice, and was taken in to be seen by him. I know others who love him, so maybe he just comes off as rude and demeaning to me.
Dr. Lis is like a breath of fresh air for Monroe. He is attentive, patient, empathetic and knowledgeable. Dr. Lis takes the time to engage with his young patients and makes them laugh and feel comfortable. My kids and I genuinely like and trust him. No question of mine is ever dismissed and he’s been informative, making sure I understand whatever is being discussed. Dr. Lis is an exceptional physician and wonderful human being in general.
When I had my son, Dr. Lis was the on-call pediatrician at the hospital and quite honestly, I wish we could have gotten anyone else. He was belittling and downright hateful. Everything I said or asked received a sarcastic comment in return. He is very agressive when expressing his opinions on things that other doctors disagree with him about and he has a very "matter of fact" attitude about everything. The positive reviews leave me baffled. I'd never been more uncomfortable or more disrespected.
Dr. Liz was the most sarcastic, rude and belittling doctor I've ever met and I will never see him or let him touch my son again. Absolutely do NOT recommend.
