Dr. Comiter was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable. He listened and he showed me respect. Great surgeon, too, he fixed my incontinence with a single surgery!
Dr. Comiter is not a good communicator. He did not listen to my concerns or address my questions except on the most superficial, patronizing, paternalistic level. He basically refused to engage in a serious discussion that recognized my own background / education level. He also did not fully inform me about the procedure he did, a procedure I would have refused had I known its limitations (it was predictable I would need a second procedure without those limitation, so the one he did was unnecessary). Wouldn't order MRI tests and wanted me to commit to TURP surgery without doing any tests based only on the fact that I have enlarged prostate. Most of the time was spent with intern.
Dr. Comiter: WOW! I've seldom been treated like a human by a Urologist - He actually listened to my prior urology history, gave me a lot of good information, gathered together my questions and input, and suggested a plan of action that I am delighted with. He also reassured me on some points where I had been mis-advised in the past. GREAT DOCTOR! GREAT PLAN! I'm entirely delighted, and will be recommending him to several friends.
