I have known Dr. Shelton for 22 years. I started seeing him in the Fall of 2004. He saved my life; I am grateful that he addressed my issues. I cannot attest to his staff and office now, but the person I know was attentive, professional, and proactive. I do think all office staff should be chosen more diligently, because the physician will receive backlash.
First part I scheduled a wellness and preventive exam yesterday. May 4th 2026 with Dr. Shelton. Two things occurred that I need to address. They charged me $250.00. This was for a wellness visit which under the affordable care act is supposed to be NO CHARGE. After calling them, MS. Shelton, the wife of DR Shelton told me that they did a cognitive test and something else I had no idea about. I did not agree to these tests and was NOT informed prior to the exam. Excellent doctor!!!! Staff is incredible
Beware ! This office and its staff, like to use “bait and switch” tactics. I was assured MULTIPLE times that I was in network with them regarding any and all services. Bills from tests and bloodwork, they say are routine are coming in. I’ve been told multiple times by the billing department of each lab that I’m not in network. Been trying to get to the bottom of it. I was adamant that I needed all services to be in network, due to insurance.
