I went to see Dr. Cory Mayo twice in 2021. They took x-rays of my hips & he said that they look good, that my pain was not caused by a hip issue. He said I needed to go to a back dr. since I was experiencing lower back pain. I even had an old MRI for him to look at and he didn't care to look at them. I'm now 20 months post 360 back surgery for L4 down & still have all the pain that I had previously. I did have a fracture in my spine, so I'm glad to get that taken care of via the surgery. He did not listen to me on how the injury occurred, never did MRIs of my muscle tissue. Worst care in the state of Oklahoma. Go elsewhere for sure!
I've had nothing but pain and problems walking after my total knee replacement. My insurance refused a cpm machine as the dr never ordered one. If he checked into the hospital to check on my therapy he would have found it was offered once but what was given kept me in pain (ketamine) so I refused the first time so nobody ever came back. I was assisted to the bathroom once when I asked to go another time a bedside commode was sat by my bed and nobody would walk me to bathroom. Dr Mayo removed several screws and plate from my arm. Very good results and very capable Dr.

I had a surgery scheduled and I called and called and it wasn’t until the day before my surgery at 4 that the nurse called me back to say my authorization didn’t go through. I was told nobody could get in touch with my insurance, so I called my insurance and within 5 minutes the appropriate paper was faxed to them. My surgery was pushed back 2 weeks all because no one communicated with me. It’s frustrating that I fixed it in minutes and so much of my life was not planned around my surgery date.
Knowledgeable and kind
BEST SURGEON EVER. I was a victim in the Okla State Univ homecoming crash Oct. 24, 2015. I was lifeflighted to Mercy where Dr Mayo was on call. Not only did he save my leg with some strategic titanium rods, bolts, and screws, but the scars are so minimal compared to the amount of debris I had embedded in open wounds. He was very adamant about follow ups to monitor the progression of my healing. Incredibly kind and considerate. Wonderful wonderful doctor!!!
