Dr. Hirsh is terrible. She isn't interested in giving a proper diagnosis, and over-medicates. I found out, from another doctor, that I was taking an unreasonably high amount of medication. Then I did my own research and learned that the other doctor was right. The dosage I was prescribed by Dr. Hirsh was way beyond what is recommended by the pharmaceutical company and researchers. Too preoccupied with her own children to keep her scheduled appointments with you. Focus drifts to her children when she does see you. Unplesant receptionist duns you for money at every appointment even though you are not behind on your payments.
She's fine if you don't mind mediocre help, waiting forever for appointments, worrying about your safety i nthe neighborhood, submitting your own insurance and being billed full rates.
Dr. Hirsh is great. Listened well and seemed genuinely interested in my wellbeing and my life holistically. We collaborated on treatment options (not limited to medication) and she respected my concerns about side effects and previous bad experiences. I was a bit of a complicated case and she was very patient and kind. She often ran late but only because she gives her patients the time they need(at no extra charge) and doesn't say 'well, time's up.' I feel she is a great, caring doctor. She spends more than the allotted time per patient, which is great, but means for a long time in the waiting room. Even given 1 hour wait times, I continue to see her because I trust her, and she listens to me and we make decisions together. Highly recommended.
