Dr. Chou is a very nice doctor. She doesn't say much but she is resourceful and easy to approach. I got a C-Section and I can tell she is very skillful in what she did. My baby was breech and he was very big, but she was able to take him out quickly. Both baby and myself were safe and healthy. The surgery was also very quick and I didn't suffer from much pain from my incision.
I think Dr. Cindy Chou is a kind and responsible doctor. She is very gentle, and patient to me and my mother and explained to us why it is necessary to have an abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and my experience was good. I will give a rating of 5 for the doctor's skills, bedside manner, front office a 4 (the receptionist behind the window does not smile at all), but other than that, everyone else is just fine.
I don't understand all the hype with her being so bad...I Dr Chou! She is great and am so thankful to her that my children were born safely into this world!
Dr Cindy Chou is a bully. She has no interest in the emotional wellbeing of a patient, nor in their personal preferences. Dr. Cindy Chou takes patient decisions (that are not agreeable with hers) personally. On the most memorable day of a woman’s life Dr Cindy Chou brings only added stress and dramatics. Dr. Chou delivered my first baby recently and I was not disappointed with her care. After nine months of regular pre-natal visits at her San Gabriel office, I felt confident that she would help me deliver a healthy baby naturally. She answered all of my questions and her calm energy helped me remain relaxed through the labor and delivery. Overall, she is very competent, professional, and caring.
I do not understand the negative comments for Dr. Chou? I understand she is busy and her schedule constantly fluctuates but what do you expect from someone that successfully delivery 30+ babies a month? I recommend her to all my family and friends because she sincerely cares about her patients. I would have lost both my last two pregnancies if it were not for her care. Complete disregard for their patients and total disorganization! OVER 1 MONTH to get an appointment! Have not been there since 2007, no more record of me, they asked for insurance info which I provided right over the phone. Come appointment date @ my appointment time, they call me to reschedule. I still go to the office and was informed that dr. Chou had an emergency surgery. I understand emergencies but I don't think it just happened at exactly my appointment time. I love Dr. Chou! She has delivered 2 of my pregnancies and they were both high risk. I am extremely paranoid and bc of this I am constantly asking questions, yet not once has she ever dismissed my concerns or made me feel like my questions were dumb. Dr. Chou delivered my first baby. I was in labor for 16 hours and my baby wouldn't drop. 6 more hours went before she said we needed the C-section. I wonder if that was a bit too long before going to the C-section. Then I had a 2nd pregnancy that lead to miscarriage. When I had the bleeding, I tried to go through her staff to speak her directly.
