Dr. Spagnoula recommended unnecessary shoulder surgery. A MRI showed a small rotator cuff tear. But I have unlimited flexibility with no pain. He told me that anything could worsen the tear and suggested I should consider surgery. He did not advise first completing physical therapy before surgery nor that one-third of shoulder surgeries result in worse conditions. I felt that he used fear to encourage surgery and did not explain the risks. He lacked a confidence-building bedside manner.
