Originally my dad was supposed to see Dr. Stanley for his shoulder pain. When we arrived we were told that our appointment will be with Dr. Sikes. Dr. Sikes came in the exam room spoke to my dad briefly and recommended a full shoulder replacement (prior to ANY imaging). We asked to have an MRI ordered as we suspected he has a tear and Dr. Sikes said he would take an xray and give him a cortisone injection and refer us to their in house shoulder replacement department. He told me in 2022 that I still had a good amount of cartilage in my shoulder joint. Now I have been told by a better doctor that Dr. Sikes didn't (think or care to) get an x-ray of my shoulder from the appropriate angle before making his diagnosis. I wish I had not trusted doctor Sikes. Had I known better than to do so, I could have preserved what little cartilage I actually had left. Too late now.
Thank you, Dr. Sikes, for restoring my quality of movement. I am 4 months out from my hip replacement, walking better than ever. I’ve lost weight, sleep better and feeling great!
I saw Dr Sikes for my final knee injection today. I can't express how happy I am to be able to be pain free for the next 6 months! This is my second round of injections in the past year, and I can honestly say that he gave me my life back!
