I am a senior (83 years of age) & former patient of Dr. Birt. She performed surgery on me & I had a follow-up appointment set-up. She suddenly/unexpectedly dropped me with no reason & when my family doctor questioned her about it she wrote a letter stating that Sunnybrook was not accepting me back & that she was 'too busy'. My mom has been going to Dr Birt for several years now and she's always been happy with her because she's so knowledgable, thorough, very kind and quite prompt. There's never been a long wait once we check in for an appt. The reception staff has always courteous and helpful, which is always a nice touch!
Dr. Birt is a magnificent worldwise recognized ophtalmologiste specialized in all aspects of glaucoma. I wasn't born in Canada and since the 40 years I've resided in this country I have never found a Medical Doctor with these most outstanding profesional and human characteristics.
