I have been a patient of Dr. Messer for many years. She is thorough with results and always administers them with compassion and competency. She is always responsive and available 24/7. Dr. Messer's accessibility, nurturing manner and timely responses provide an amazing experience.
DR messer is a great endocrinologist. she took her time when talking to me .i had a few concerns about my health and she was very compassinate in explaining everything to me. i would highly reccomend her.
Welcoming and professional office staff; no waiting time; Dr. Messer is a thoughtful questioner, careful listener and skilled diagnostician; After three visits my A1C has returned to a normal range and my blood pressure has decreased from 162/94 to 143/78 and hopefully going lower! She makes the patient feel at ease [especially me who has a total fear of needles and blood tests] and uses her sense of humor adeptly to reduce anxiety. I recommend her to all with unalloyed enthusiasm!

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (LADA) and she rushed to put my on insulin when there was little urgency. She had my dosages way too high. Very self centered doctor and cares more about covering herself than the patient. Not sure how she's going to make any money now that she doesn't take insurance. Stay away...dangerous!!!
I was referred to Dr. Messer by my primary care physician. She was great, friendly, attentive, just excellent! I'm sorry that she will no longer be accepting private insurance. The downside was the wait of 3 months for an appointment and the office staff!
Dr Messer is the most compassionate, competant endocrinologist doctor. She and Brittany who runs the front office are an incredible team. This is a wonderful place for endocrinology. Sorry they no longer take any health insurance and aren't apart of Lenox Hill hospital. A big loss for patients...
Dr Messer could not diagnose or treat me properly. She prescribed medicine for Type II diabetes while I am an adult I. She made me sicker. . She also brought a Duke college student into my examination. She did not say the student was not a medical student. I felt extremely embarrassed speaking in front of a college student and unsure of the confidentiality. This woman is self-centered and dangerous. She no longer accepts insurance and I wonder why.
Awful beside manner.
