Dr. Mallette was a nice doctor and was very thorough; she listened, explained what she wanted to do and made sure she answered any questions. However, it was incredibly difficult to schedule a follow up procedure that she ordered. The staff mixed up the procedure with a consult and I had to contact them multiple times to get it fixed and re-scheduled (took about 3 weeks total, but 1 week of that was because the lady who schedules procedures and I kept missing each other).
I am a nurse and worked with Dr. Mallette at the bedside. This is why, when I began having issues, that I chose to see her. She spent ample time with me, answered all of my questions in great detail and was very compassionate with me. I trusted her with the patients I took care of, I would trust her with my loved ones, and I trust her where my personal care is concerned.
This doctor was absolutely just what I needed. I was very anxious about my GI issues and the thought of having to go through with any type of procedures (especially the dreaded prep I had heard friends speak of!). She sat down in front of me and spoke directly to me about the entire procedure, all the possible findings, and how they would be treated and managed. She made me feel SO much more comfortable about any/all possible outcomes. She totally took the time to make me comfortable. She's FAB
First visit she never even examined me. She asked questions and said I need an endoscopy. After 4 months of treatment with her I am feeling worse than before I started seeing her and have no firm answers as to what is ailing me. Do this procedure... wait almost 3 months for follow-up appt. Receive a letter 2 weeks after another test saying normal and call us if you need further assistance. No vested interest in my care at all. On top of that..office staff are incompetent and unfriendly!
Avoid her, she is the plague! It is all about volume and making profit when it comes to this doctor. She does not care about you as a person.
