When I broke my back, I had grave concerns about surgery, having grown up in a time when mention of back surgery was all but anathema (few people related anything but horror stories about their experiences). So it was with no little trepidation that I gave consent for an operation on my spine. I can describe the results as nothing short of amazing! It's been 13 months now, and I have had no issues, not even where flexibility is concerned. Dr. Angeles is an outstanding surgeon and a nice person.
She and her PA did an excellent job of explaining everything to me. I always knew what to expect and my incision on my neck is not visible.
Very incredible surgeon explained my options did a fusion on my lower back and I was back working in 12 weeks! Should of had surgery 2 years ago.
Dr. Angeles is my HERO! She gave me my life back by doing excellent lumbar surgery to get me out of a wheelchair where I had been bound for 3 years after being run over by a large cow! Several other highly esteemed spine surgeons had refused to operate on me before I lost weight, which I found impossible to do while in a WC all day. Thanks to Dr Angeles, my spine is now fixed so I can live again, a happy and productive life!
I've been around the medical community for 15 years as a patient and a medical assistant. I had back surgery with dr Angeles back in 2014 as she was very compassionate and took her time with me. I know that put her other patient to longer waiting times but to her she wanted to make sure I understood the surgery and that I was comfortable. I know that patients time is just as valuable as the doctors but my wait was worth it!!!
I had C4-C7 fused in my neck about 2 years ago. Dr. Angeles is very compassionate, understood how scared I was, took the time to address all my worries, and questions, and performed an excellent surgery. I have good mobility for a 4 level fusion, and would recommend her to anyone.
Husband had surgery of T12-cage with thoracic spinal fusion;posterior T11-1. His titanium cage collapsed as did all his rods and screws. He was told, I should have put more rods down your back. Great, thanks doc for all the afterthoughts, which aren't doing my husband any good. NO after care, she gave him the wrong brace and then poo pawed everything off. My husband was also told by Dr Angeles, I'll never operate on you again. Thanks for making my husbands quality of life totally miserable.
