I saw this Dr at his La Mesa office several months ago. He prescribed an anti biotic that was sent through the mail. I finished them and still have stomach issues so I've been calling to try and speak with ANYone in his office...out of 5-6 tries I finally got them to answer. I asked whats the next step...they didn't know & said they'd have the Dr call me back. That was 2 weeks ago! Nothing. I just tried calling AGAIN & again no one answers the phone. Now I'm gonna have to start all over with a new Doctor.🥺
My experience was disappointing. At my consult, Dr. Thomas barely asked about my concerns and just scheduled a colonoscopy. On procedure day, I never saw him—only his team. I briefly saw him on his phone and he didn’t acknowledge me. Afterward, I was rushed out, only told they took a biopsy. No follow-up was offered, and I left with no clarity on my biopsy or hemorrhoid. I didn’t feel cared for at all.
I saw Dr. Carlton Thomas in 2017 and again this year. Every time I go in for a procedure or exam I am satisfied and leave educated. He is very smart and creative with treatments and advice. He really helps me understand what to do at home and why and he did my procedure quickly and safely. I am very thankful for him. I am gay and I was worried the doc wouldn’t really listen to me but he did. He fully understood me and was kind and very patient.

Saw Dr G Thomas by referral for hematology. On time (rare many drsPrompt. Straight forward and said He'd gladly take my case but said wanted the best for my severe cirrhosis chances and referred me to UCSD La Jolla appt in July '24. I liked his honesty and his desire that I get a higher care. Nice Doctor.
