She either has the worst bedside manners or just doesn't want to treat Medicaid patients. She literally told me I'm not worth treating, add that to feeling like she was accusing me of malingering during our brief interactions, I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. I am only 50, my life isn't over yet and I shouldn't be treated as a lesser patient just because I'm on Medicaid. I accompanied my aunt for a routine visit with Dr. Hammonds. She seemed very annoyed with the questions my aunt and I presented to her. She brushed off our concerns as if she was unable provide a solution. She appeared to be rushed and just simply dismissive. My aunt stated how much pain she was experiencing, but Dr. Hammonds just kept repeating that my aunt's condition was controlled. I've been to 3 other Rheumatologist here in Kentucky. I've seen other reviews that weren't good. I don't know what Dr. they saw, but I liked Dr. Hammonds very much, she was concerned about my RA and ordered blood work every time I saw her and looked at my joints and any swelling going on at the time. She also seemed concerned about other health problems I had going on. She didn't rush me out the door as others stated. I was diagnosed with RA at 30 yrs old in Florida and really I haven't had any bad experiences with any Rheum... read more
Don't even try it; all the past reviews are right. If you want to spend an hour and a half being told all the other doctors are wrong and she is right, go for it.
