I read the reviews on Dr. Hammonds and saw they were bad, but I was desperate!!! I was on day 6 of the worst flare up I’ve ever had and just needed help. The WORST doctor’s experience I’ve ever had. She REFUSED to do more bloodwork. Apparently she specializes in NOTHING. Her words, not mind. Everything I asked about which was related to autoimmune btw, was not her EXPERTISE!!! I wish we had read the reviews before I waisted time going to see this so called doctor/rheumatologist. She actually answered her cell phone mid sentence and she answered it hello, not, Dr. Hammonds…. I believe this was a personal call in the middle of my consult. This rheumatologist didn’t do any bloodwork, didn’t listen to my concerns or issues and was very pleased to talk about her contacts in the medical field. I have seen her once. I was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 98 and have seen multiple specialists in numerous states and each time I was told that I have scleroderma (including the head of Rheumatology) and she said that I have undifferentiated autoimmune disease… okay, maybe my blood test changed (I don’t think so) also she said that I don’t have COPD after two pulmonologist said that I do, she isn’t a pulmonologist.. she was very stand offish and disregarded everything that I said to her. Don’t even bother going here. Waited forever. My body is going through a lot. I tend to be difficult figuring out underlying causes, hoping it is nothing, something simple and moving along. She’s dismissive, will not answer questions unrelated to why you was sent there, and cares nothing about asking you how you really feel.. If you tell her she says, that’s someone else….Even thou she specializes in Arthritis, joints, bones and muscles. Everything I am having issues with. Rheumatoid runs high in my family.
