Took my adult daughter in for a migraine that had lasted over 15 hours. We tried everything at the house we could think of. On top of everything she had surgery a little over a week ago so she was exhausted, frustrated and feeling horrible. Dr Jones at Proctor Prompt Care on Barring Trace in Peoria, IL was rude, uncaring and no help at all. Our experience was almost identical as the one above. Shame on you Dr. Jones. I just took my 6&1/2 yr old to the emergency department at Methodist last night. He had spiked 103.5° F fever, and I wasn't sure of a current weight so I didn't feel comfortable giving him anything for it. We got there, they took us to what they referred to as clinic rather than the main ER. We saw Dr. Jones, and he was very thorough, and made us feel justified in bringing him in. He ran tests which came back normal, and gave him meds to treat the fever, along with making sure I knew what to do.
My youngest daughter was in for help after a tooth extraction became infected. This was her second time in the ER for pain and swelling in her jaw. Dr Jones was extremely rude and condescending implying that she wanted drugs. Sharp shards of broken jaw are coming out of her gum as well as stabbing into her gums causing a lot of pain. She is upset and in tears relating her story. Dr Jones was fortunate that I, her father, was not there, but then he would not have been so rude....
I've never had a doctor make me feel as awful as you did. You made me feel stupid, embarrassed, and worthless. I had no where else to turn to for help with the pain in my mouth. My dentist was closed. And my insurance didn't cover anywhere else. You made me feel like a drug addict looking for her next fix. I needed help with an infection and pain. You asked if I wanted a shot of antibiotics, I ask if it will help, "I don't know, I'm not a dentist!" I've been crying for hours. Thanks for that....
