dr. de toro rarely cared, wanted to leave as soon as she typed everything into computer with out listening to patient; then all she did was give a shot time for pain,uninterested in finding out why my hands were blue, bulges with fluid at end of my joints; fever and severe pain, walking with a cane. All she did was insist that everything was alright. I changed to new doctor after visit to ER; many studies were done, proof i have Lupus and RA, all apparent for years in my blood=now i have damage.
DR. TORO WAS UNCARING IN ALL MY VISITS. SHE'D TYPE IN COMPUTER, NOT LISTEN THEN LEAVE AND NURSE WALK IN TO GIVE SHOT THAT I DIDNT KNOW WAS COMING.I WAS GETTNG WORST AND THEN STARTED VISITING THE ER THINKING I WAS HAVING A HEARTATTACK. I FINALLY LEFT TOWN AND SAW ANOTHER RHEUMATOLOGIST AND FOUND OUT I HAD MCTD-LUPUS AND RA! MY DR. TOLD ME THAT IT WAS IN TIME BECAUSE MY ORGANS WERE NOW DAMAGED BECAUSE I HAD IT ACTIVE FOR SO LONG AND NO TREATMENT! DR. TORO IS NOT A DOCTOR IN MY OPINION!
I have been very happy with dr toro and her treatment of my RA...when i first started seeing her i remarked to one of her senior staff that the receptionist was very unprofessional but at my last visit there was a new, very helpful and friendly person at the front desk. Dr Toro is very very fast paced so have your questions ready...the wait time is usually not too bad...both in the front waiting room and the actual exam room....overall i am very pleased with this office
Dr Toro is very fast paced but answers all your questions and gives a thorough explanation of your condition and explain lab results very well. Great doctor but her receptionist needs better customer service. Receptionist is rude and not welcoming. Over all it's a great place.
