My wife had her hip replaced by Dr Chimenti last year and her life has changed tremendously. I cannot give enough praise and thanks for helping her. I am also seeing doc about my knees and have been able to avoid surgery so far. However, if I need it, I will definitely use Dr Chimenti. He is so caring and kind and always gives us as much time as we need. This was especially helpful for my wife before surgery. Glad to have her back to her normal self!

The wait time is horrible. Both times I've been here I have waited over two hours!

Business response:

I really do wish that I could make your wait time less, but especially in December most doctor's offices get very busy. I intentionally stayed open later hours to try to see as many people that needed to see me as possible, but was still overwhelmed with the number of phone calls requesting to be "worked in" to an already overbooked schedule. One reason wait times are so long is that I refuse to cut short patient visits. I spend as much time as needed. It does get less hectic in January!

The doctor may be fine but the office is not ran well. They scheduled a MRI for my wife twice and both times called the MRI facility and cancelled the appointment claiming that our insurance denied the MRI because she needed another office visit....which would have beeb fine but they cancelled the appointment the day before. I called Dr. Chimenti's office and was told that they are fighting with the insurance. I called our insurance and no request was ever made. I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO.

Business response:

I am sorry that you and your wife are having to endure these hassles.Unfortunately, it is your insurance company that is most likely not being honest with you.It is my goal to provide quality care as quickly and as efficiently as possible.Insurance companies put road blocks up in an effort to reduce their costs. If you will call the office and ask to speak to Kim (the head of my insurance staff), I will make sure that we do everything in my power to get this issue resolved.

Dr. Chimenti's evaluation of my knee, after examination and x-ray was meniscus tear. He said I needed surgery. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and he said I was not anywhere near the point of having surgery on my knee and that Dr. Chimenti probably just wanted to buy a new car (and then laughed). A year later, my knee has not bothered me at all. I will not be returning to this office!!!

Business response:

I'm glad that your knee is doing well. I don't recall your particular situation a year later but obviously you came to me with knee pain initially, as patients generally do not see doctors for consultation regarding painless knees. Painful meniscus tears generally need minor arthroscopic surgery...while painless meniscus tears may not. However, neglecting a meniscus tear can lead to additional damage as the torn tissue can abrade the cartilage on the bone causing additional wear and arthritis

I have seen Dr Chimenti on several occasions and I trust him to give me the best information and treatment options and to help me make decisions on my orthopedic issues (primarily my knees!). He always gives me options and never forces any agenda (surgery) on me. I have recommended many people to see him and they are all very happy as well. Interesting that the reviewer previously gave him 1 star because he didn't give them pain medication...is that really how we judge our doctors?

He's very patient and answered my questions . He then referred me to De. Kim who schedules me for a shot in my hip joint , which helped stop the bone on bone pain. I am having a total hip replacement next Monday& already scheduled physical therapy .
