Dr. Berman is just the best, and Alma the administrative person at the front desk is terrific. Dr. Berman has provided conscientious, considerate care and follow up for me, for many years. And has always taken the time to give me detailed answers to questions that I might have. Plus, their new office is lovely, with comfortable chairs, and beautiful paintings. And so easy to get to, with free parking, versus the IMED building up at Scripps. I am grateful to have such a gifted professional in my life.
Dr Berman and his staff are caring and very pleasant. I felt comfortable with the way I was treated as a patient from the very first visit. I was impressed by Dr Berman and how thorough he was when taking my history.
I went there for Heart Ultrasound and ECG today. George helped on Ultra Sound and he is polite and nice, and explained clearly the steps I need to follow throughout the test. The lady who helped me with ECG also explained to me what she is going to do etc. all these communications makes me not nervous any more. The front desk staff is also very nice and help me scheduling my next visits. I can finish the visit within 45 mins.
If you seek an attentive and responsive cardiologist, steer clear of Dr. Berman and his office at the Integrative Cardiovascular Center of La Jolla. This doctor and his staff provide the worst service. They don't take their patient's care seriously. The office staff team is ill-mannered, unprofessional, and unorganized. The doctor made us wait an hour before being seen and called to follow up with the results to inform us of a life-threatening result. This location makes zero effort. Horrible place:they are canceling appointments, they are not accessible by phone, doctors do not write reports of the imaging they are taking a week ago, they do not give these reports to the patients so the patient could take care of their health on time
