In October 2011, Dr. Cook performed what is termed as an AAA, abdominal aorta aneurysm at Denver Health. By normal and/or anticipated norms I surmise from conversations with various MDs, as well as Dr. Cook, such surgery usually only last around 5 years before further surgery is required to correct any leakage or weakening of the AAA.
