Dr. Sessions has correctly diagnosed and corrected a problem caused by a less attentive and less caring orthopedist following fracturing my right radius. His treatment and post-op plan for my rehab was efficient and 100% effective. He treated me as though I were a long-term friend rather than just another case. Can't recommend him highly enough. Our community is so fortunate that he chose to practice here.

First time visiting Sessions. Tells me to explain whats wrong. He cut me off two sentences in because he noticed a previous scar from a prior hand surgery. He asked me what doctor performed that hand surgery and rudely implied (through eye rolling, sighing, and verbal remarks) that it was not necessary and the cut was bad (not sure how he knew this because he didn't even know the reasoning of the surgery). That surgery was successful in eliminating pain and giving me back some use of my arm...so his comments were way off bas... read more

We always appreciate feedback concerning every patient experience. Unfortunately, this review does not sound at all like the professional demeanor of our physician at Louisiana hand to Shoulder Center, and our concern is that this may be a phishing review post. We sincerely hope that if this is a true poster, that you would please take the time to contact our office at 985-238-0045 and we would be happy to discuss the experience and remedy the previous bad experience. Thank you so much.

Dr. Sessions did carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand. I was amazed at how little pain I had after the surgery. I did not require much pain medication which consisted only of Ibuprofen and Tylenol. He and his assistant were both very professional during the entire procedure for which I was wide awake.

Business response:

Thank you for your review!

Brought my 9 year old son in who was complaining of a hand injury that would not go away. Dr. Sessions immediately identified the problem and gave us several options on treatment. My son was very comfortable and his staff is A+. Highly recommend Dr. Sessions for hand or shoulder issues.

Business response:

The Louisiana Hand to Shoulder Center enjoyed taking care of your son!

I saw Dr Sessions last year and I was treated for trigger finger. He was thorough without a whole bunch of extra stuff, which i appreciated. Now, having issues with my thumb, I am sad to hear that he has left Philly. I wish Louisiana was closer.

Business response:

Come visit us in Louisiana!

Dr. Sessions operated on my hand last year and did a great job. He explained everything well and guided me through my recovery so I understood everything along the way. Hand is feeling great but now my other one is hurting and wanted him to take of it. Sorry to see that he's left Philadelphia. Great bedside manner, great surgeon. Philly's loss is Louisiana's gain. Good luck Dr. Sessions!

Business response:

Thanks for your wonderful comments Dave.

I have 3 issues with my left arm, he was the only doctor to take the time to figure out a plan for each problem. Called to make an appt to finalize the options and was told he was no longer there. What a terrible shock,he was the best doctor I had ever been to, knowledgeable, caring, and treated you like a real person, not just another patient to deal with. I have seen other orthopedic doctors, but none compare to Dr. Sessions. I am still hoping I can find where he is located at now. Thank you!

Business response:

Thank you for your kind words. I left the Philadelphia area and moved closer to my family in Louisiana. I wish you all the best.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Sessions. He pieced my hand back together after a devastating injury, his expertise and care are key in my recovery. He is kind and caring. He volunteered to speak with my mother from the emergency room, she is 2000 miles away. I saw him at least 10 times and every time he was knowledgeable, genuine, and friendly. He understands the importance of support in the aftercare. I felt Dr. Sessions was staunch in every way, he has my back in every step. Thank you, Blane

Business response:

Matty....It was a true pleasure to take care of you. I know your work effort and energy with Angie was truly remarkable.

I was relieved to hear he was fired from The Hand Center. He hadn't bothered to really listen & mis-diagnosed my condition. The info in the initial report proves this as he claims I had trigger finger in both hands. The pain which I had was in both my palms & feet & it was due to a magnesium deficiency, not trigger finger. Besides, I had never mentioned having any problems with my fingers, so how did he come up with trigger finger as the problem? He hadn't paid attention.

Business response:

Catherine, I am sorry you feel this way. I left the Philadelphia Hand Center and moved to Louisiana to be closer to my family.
