Saw this guy for a potential ADHD diagnosis and was dismissive, told me that my symptoms were related to trauma even though they were present before that, heavily suggested that I was seeking ADHD medication to help with university study. I was later diagnosed with ADHD by a much more competent psychiatrist.
One of the Best. All the negative reviews must have some problem in their approach. Cannot understand them. Great clinic staff and service. I'm sure he will be dearly missed as he leaves the profession this month. He worked for a minimal fee serving the community. I wanted to add my experience incase it helped others (esp. women) who will still be potentially seeing him before the end of the year and to also express my gratitude for Blandthorn’s above standard help and support I received since my assessment in May. I was thoroughly assessed to cover and exclude any overlapping conditions and we had a whole appointment to discuss medications in a collaborative way which I appreciated as I had time to ask a lot of questions. Dr Blandthorn was disrespectful, rude and insulting. He finished my session saying that I have **** traits and I need to just accept it and move on, then stood up, silently walked to the door, opened it and looked at me… guess I was dismissed.. just curious though, it looks like the only positive responses here are from men. Does Dr Blandthorn have an issue with women?
