Did not spend much time or listen to my problem. Did not follow thru with test that was promised. Seems to only care about reading blood tests, but did not listen to other problems. It seems like Well Med in general does not really care about health of patients. They do not give good physicals to patients like in the past.
This provider totally mismanages his patient's care. He is dedicated to routine bloodwork but readily misses chronic illnesses which lead to significant detriment for his patients. I wouldn't trust any of my family or even my pets to the "care" of this provider.
Dr Stevens has really stepped up to the plate with my recent “mystery disease/syndrome.” Because of certain actions he has taken I believe he has done some research as to what is going on with me. He has made some good decisions for me. The referral to a specialist has been frustrating but the referral nurse (Erica) is just awesome. Give WellMed a chance!
I have challenges and Dr. Stevens does his best to solve them within the scope of his employment.
Always shows interest. Always explains why. Always responsive to unforeseen problems.
My friends, family, others seeking health provision service are advised not to utilize those of Benjamin Stevens, DO. His service provided to me continues. It has been permanent and also a time uncomfortable as it has to do with dental work. His wrongly written thyroid therapy dosage, over my objections, is supported in letters from a dentist and an endocrinologist. I do not recommend Dr. Stevens to anyone of your family & friends for these reasons Over objections and refusing to refer to specialist or seek second opinion he wrote a large dosage drop of thyroid therapy. I have no thyroid. Two weeks later at dental cleaning my teeth are riddled with cavities. Insisting in writing wrong dosage prescription for Synthroid, twice the drop, it severely compromised my dental health. When reviewing medical records this doc had assess me as opiate dependent continuing and denied offer of a pain film. That did not happen. I was licensed in TX and NM in addiction. I would never consider recommending Benjamin Stevens as a physician. Ever bother to read your medical records? Against objections Dr. Stevens dropped a thyroid prescription dosage 50 MG, a large dosage change. I have no thyroid and two weeks later my teeth are covered by cavities. Per a dentist and an endocrinologist, thyroid output should be stable. It is essential for maintaining healthy teeth.
