I was run over crossing the street, shattering both tibia and fibula. Dr Babar Shafiq performed the surgery - and nothing else. He "forgot" to set up transportation for my apts (since I am non weight bearing). He does not answer or return phone calls. I was sent home from the hospital with only 2 days worth of my pain medication because he "forgot" to send in the prescription, resulting in me being in agony for weeks. I broke my tibia, fibula, and ankle roofing in October and was flown via medevac to John’s Hopkins Medical center trauma unit. The bones were sticking out and it was a pretty gruesome injury, but Dr. Babar Shafiq was able to perform an external fixation of my leg to stabilize it and then about a week later I went in for the internal fixation where they put 2 rods, a plate and many screws into my leg.
