I was run over crossing the street, shattering both tibia and fibula. Dr Babar Shafiq performed the surgery - and nothing else. He "forgot" to set up transportation for my apts (since I am non weight bearing). He does not answer or return phone calls. I was sent home from the hospital with only 2 days worth of my pain medication because he "forgot" to send in the prescription, resulting in me being in agony for weeks. I was told he set me up with pain management only to be told he "forgot" and I had to fight for the referral... read more

Dr.Shafiq is the best orthopedic surgeon out there.He is very professional and thorough and makes you feel that he really cares for his patients.If you happen to need orthopedic surgery he is the one to go to. Thank You Dr.Shafiq.

I broke my tibia, fibula, and ankle roofing in October and was flown via medevac to John’s Hopkins Medical center trauma unit. The bones were sticking out and it was a pretty gruesome injury, but Dr. Babar Shafiq was able to perform an external fixation of my leg to stabilize it and then about a week later I went in for the internal fixation where they put 2 rods, a plate and many screws into my leg. It’s been about 3 months since that, and I walk without a limp and only deal with muscular pain after I do strenuous activitie... read more
