I needed surgery for crohn’s disease.I opted to have my surgery in Florida instead of going up to more “well known “hospitals up north because the references and recommendations I received about Dr Avi Belizon, convinced me to stay in Florida and have the surgery at Boca Regional Hospital.It was certainly a great decision.From surgery pre-op ,through surgery,through post-op,Dr Belizon and his team were constantly monitoring my condition.I did not need any pain killers or narcotics post surgery.Thank God I am feeling better a... read more

From my first visit with Dr. Belizon, he made me feel completely at ease regarding having surgery for a femoral hernia. My primary care dr., Dr. Nunes recommended him saying he is really a good surgeon. I am so impressed by him and his skills. Surgery was last week and I'm feeling well. Thank You Dr. Belizon. I highly recommend him to anyone in need. I'll be going back to him for my colonoscopy. This is the first time I have written a review.

Dr Belizon is truly a gifted surgeon. I had hernia surgery and I elected to have it done per his advice before i took a big trip. He suggested this so that i wouldn't worry about it while I was traveling. He is extremely nice and courteous. But in a surgeon I look for expertise and competence. Dr. Belizon is just one of the best!! I have seen him several times for other issues and I always come away thinking that he is a caring doctor.

My husband had a cholecystectomy with Dr. Belizon he was great very attentive. I truly felt that he was in good hands and that he cares and was passionate about his work and patient care. Overall a great experience. He said our case was really the worst he has seen and made all efforts to do what he could health wise to ensure he had the best results while being safe cautious and honest. Overall great Surgeon! Met him before my husbands surgery He is totally professional and explained everything about procedure before and after spent time with me explaining the surgery my husband is recouping very well

Hello, I saw Dr. Belizon for a cholecystectomy and unlike other doctors I've seen in the past he took as much time as needed not making me feel rushed and thoroughly answered all my questions during the consult. He has a very warming presence and you can tell he is very passionate about his work. I feel really lucky to have met him. Post surgery Dr. Belizon was equally attentive during the follow visits. I wish the compassion and care that he shows would be the standard for all doctors.

Total lack of interpersonal skills. Not trustworthy. Surgery decisions based largely on what is most profitable for Belizon, rather than the patient. No follow-up.

Dr Belizon was excellent. My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer after his colonoscopy and Dr Belizon did a great job with the resection and was great at explaining everything that was gonna happen and excellent post op care as well. I’m happy to report that my husband is now cancer free!!
