Dr. Spitze is an excellent practioner. She did my cataract surgery with excellent results and is my regular opthamologist because of my age (80). I knew selecting her meant longer wait times because she is a busy surgeon, but her excellence of care is well worth the wait. I have found the support staff to be excellent as well. The fact that they are busy, as some have complained, is testimonial to the excellence of care. I need a neuro-opthamologist, and there are not many to be found in my area. I like Dr. Spitze, but waiting 2 and a half hours to see her is just disrespectful to clients. Not warning us beforehand is disrespectful to those offering us rides or picking us up. If I can find another NO in my area, I will not be going back.
Terrible management of this practice. A long time patient, I walked out after waiting 90 minutes and had still not been seen. I waited over 3 months to get this appointment to start with and needed a full exam but I was not willing to wait any longer only to get my eyes dilated and need to sit waiting again. This is not the first time for excessive wait time and it's unacceptable and disrespectful for all patients.
The Dr running about an hour behind schedule and this lady had to ask how much longer before a sign was posted and they probably have not said anything to patient waiting. Just what I thought a gentlemen just walked up inquiring about his 10:15am appointment and it's 11:11am now.
This office is overcrowded and Dr Spitze consistently runs an hour behind. too many patients scheduled too close together. The nurses and staff seem so tired of people complaining and there is nothing they can do about it. Dr Spitze comes in the room and does not even acknowledge her tardiness, does not ask my elderly mother how she is, and her bedside manner is non existent.
