How easy it is to talk to him
Dr. Shaughnessy encouraged me to undergo cataract surgery despite knowing about my pre-existing eye condition. Doctors have a duty providing accurate information about the risks and benefits of any recommended medical procedures. Now for four years i have Retinal inflammation, what is a serious condition i am experiencing vision loss and anxiety as a result of the complications from the cataract surgery. It can be very distressing to experience vision problems and to feel uncertain about the future of your eyesight.
Dr. Baxter is professional but friendly at the same time. He actually listens to you and answers questions. He never acts like he doesn’t time to hear what you have to say. He genuinely cares about his patients well being. He is a wonderful doctor. If you really need to see him he will find a way to get you in ASAP. We are lucky to have him in our area!!

I only had one appointment with him when I was 15 years old. When I was in the exam room he said “well aren’t you a tall glass of water”. (I am 5’9 but also 15 years old) this made me feel very uncomfortable. Then proceeded to give me a pap smear and the rest of the physical exams at such a young age. Needless to say, I never went back.
Lied to me about my VBAC and made me get another c section
I didn't even have a visit. Took forever to get the appointment and the staff is so rude. I just cancelled the appointment. I can understand why his ratings are so low.
NP Carrie is THE BEST!!!! Caring, listens and extremely knowledgeable. And her nurse Diane is wonderful. The office staff is also great! Would never consider going anywhere else! So thankful for this Family Practice!
The staff is not very helpful when trying to fill prescriptions ever. I have had issues with the office every time I need to refill my birth control.
