Explained the rationale for a partial vs full knee replacement completely. Chose partial and it was an incredible result with a very quick recovery!
Total right knee replacement
I had total hip replacements done by Dr. Ajluni on both hips, 6 months apart in an outpatient facility. Dr. explained everything very well before hand and was very articulate & compassionate. Wonderful bedside manner. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ajluni!
This guy performed knee surgery on my father who is 82 and full of health issues: congestive heart failure, end stage renal disease, copd, a fib and much more Told my dad not too worry that in 6 weeks he would be ready for his second knee to be done. My dad has yet to go home from September 28th. Today is November 10. He has had all of these issues since surgery- blood clot, pneumonia, sepsis, blood transfusions. The doctor has not seen him once since surgery. Would not let him near me.
Dr. Ajluni decided my right knee needed a partial replacement instead of a full knee replacement in 2014. Sadly, I've been back twice in 2015 and 2017 and Dr. Ajluni says the surgery went well. NO, IT HASN'T GONE WELL. FOUR YEARS LATER I'M STILL IN CONSTANT PAIN. My advice is don't let any Doctor talk you into a Partial Knee Replacement. I'll be seeking a secondary options. Dr. Ajluni might be a good Doctor. Sadly, my experience wasn't good.
He only sees things in black and white. His ability to troubleshoot is almost nonexistent. I’ve had nothing but trouble with my hip replacement. He has that “oh you again “ attitude with me. I keep going back because ITS NOT RIGHT, it still hurts, my legs jerk like they have a mind of their own and it feels like it’s on fire after an active day. I used to stand long hours at my restaurant so working and being on my feet was never an issue, but it is now. My whole life changed.
I had THR , right hip, done anterior approach 3 weeks today on Dec 5, 2017. I healed well ,No complications . Incision is 4 inches and hardly looks liked any big scar. able to leave hospital day after surgery. Not to say you won't have pain and discomfort here and there, but surgical pain. I was able to do exercises right away from home care, Will begin outpatient Jan 4 Walking well wo cane here and there in house due to winter. Dr. Ajulini takes time and good bedside manners. Linda M. Rude, didn't even look at my knee, didn't look at my report or xrays from the ER at Henry Ford, over 1 hr wait, spent 5 mins with me, ordered new xrays prior to even seeing the ER xray/report. Ordered an MRI for only the left knee after telling me the right knee looked worse, was told I was instructed 1.5 yr earlier that I'd need a total knee replacement by another surgeon in the area, and that I had a pinched nerve in my groin by from the my recent fall. Didn't request past surgery records.
He did my hip replacement 2 years ago. I've never had any problems. I love this Dr.
