Dr. Sakopoulos saved my life in April of 2014. On Easter, I was flown to St. Helena Hospital with a thoracic aortic aneurysm. My prognosis was not good, with only 15-20 minutes left to live!! My understanding is that only approximately 10% of these patients survive! I was very grateful not only for his expertise but also his patience and bedside manner. Every time I see the scar on my chest, I am reminded how close I came to dying. Thank you Dr. Sakopoulos, for saving my life!!!
Four years ago he spent nine hours on a surgery for my dad and came back exhausted but took the time to explain the procedure and what recovery would look like anyway. This man checked on my dad everyday he was in the hospital. Couldn't of had a better surgeon perform the surgery. He took care of the whole family. Thank you.
Dr. Sakopoulus is amazing. He saved my grandfathers life, and was very gentle with his words in explanation so that all of my family could understand everything that was happening. He is very patient and he's great bedside manner and it is noticeable that he likes his job. I would recommend him to anyone who is having heart troubles, he will take care of you and your family
