Last October (2024) I had the most critical situation in my life, that is, a severe heart attack after more than 50 years of heavy smoking. Dr. Sakopoulos saw to my dad's lung surgery, he was empathetic and honest about the delicate state my father was in. My family and I are incredibly grateful for his expertise and skills that resulted in a successful operation. Dr. Sakopoulos has continuously kept us updated on the positive outcome and progression of my dad's recovery.
Dr. Sakopoulos is professional, friendly, experienced and efficient. Explained procedure to my wife and me before the surgery, answered all questions and addressed all concerns. Did the same after surgery. Stopped in to consult with me during one of my follow-up visits. I can comfortably have a lot of confidence in him.
He was very informative about the surgery. He was caring and he answered every question we had. He calmed my uncles nerves and assured him that he would be in good hands. After surgery, the Doctor called me immediately to let me know surgery has ended and he was being moved to recovery floor. He came everyday to visit and check in on him and made sure I got all the answers I needed. Made sure the nurses were taking good care of my uncle. Doctor is amazing. Very thankful my uncle had a great experience with him.
When was told that I would need to have open heart surgery - CABG - it was a stressful time and my family and I were very overwhelmed. Dr. Sakapoulos was extremely professional and kind. He took the time to make sure that both my husband and I knew exactly what to expect before, during and after surgery. So many stumbling blocks in my situation, anemia, bad veins, arteries, kidney,s etc.Dr. Sakopoulos overcame all with his unsurpassed skill and expertise and excellentDirection. He lead his team to a successful completion of both procedures. Could not have asked for better care. Genuine concern through all as well as follow ups including office visits as well as phone calls.I am not at all apprehensive about my future health needs.Just a good person and a great team!!!
I had a upper right lobectomy by Dr. Sakopulos and although it wasn't an easy surgery by any means, I felt safe & secure with Dr. He kept me informed, listened to my concerns and was always available. I would recommend his 100%.
Dr. Sakopoulos saved my husband's life. He had a "silent" heart attack due to his diabetes. Dr. successfully performed a CABG x 5. Before, during and after the surgery, Dr. was extremely kind, caring and professional. Most doctors of his caliber do not have very good bedside manners, but Dr. Sakopoulos is amazing.
