My experience was first-rate all the way through. Dr. Mischenko was both extremely capable and professional, and personally very literate and delightful company throughout the pain-free procedure. My family dentist referred me to Dr. Mischenko for a potential root canal problem. Dr. Mischenko clearly explained the issues and since she couldn't positively identify the troubled tooth, she recommended waiting until we were certain. Within a few days it was apparent which tooth needed the work, and the office scheduled me immediately for the root canal. It was a very complex procedure and Dr. Mischenko proceeded masterfully. I was referred by my dentist to Dr Mischenko, and her online credentials immediately impressed me. I had had an abscess on a wisdom tooth for at least two years and a fistula had appeared. Dr Mischenko explained carefully my options and cost consequences. I elected to have a root canal and her work was incredible. My regular dentist was deeply impressed when she saw the x-rays. I felt that I got the best treatment possible.

My initial appointment was on November 8, 2012, after referral from my dentist who gave doctor high recommendation for required root canal procedure. At age 70 I had never had a root canal. Then in Sept. & Oct. 2012 I had 2 root canals, both performed by Dr. Mischenko. I was surprised at how painless they were. Both procedures have been completely successful. Facilities are first rate and equipment is state of the art. She is in my insurance (GEHA) network which helps on the cost. I went in for a root canal but my symptoms were not yet indicative of which tooth required the procedure. Dr. Mischenko appropriately decided to wait until the symptoms were more clear so as to avoid unnecessary dental work. She was patient in describing this to me, and was generous in scheduling me as soon as possible when pain developed. I will be going back to her without hesitation.

Dr. Mischenko was very attentive and throughout the procedure, very concerned about my comfort and any pain I might have had. She explained the process thoroughly, and every step of the way, explained what was going on and asked if I was in any discomfort. My mom and I went in for a second opinion consultation. We had the most delightful experience with Dr. Mischenko. The doctor and the staff were professional and attentive. Equipment was very clean and up-to-date, the diagnostic tools were amazing. All of our questions were answered with great detail. A root canal was my procedure. The office staff was very helpful and able to work my initial appointment within 24 hours. The initial visit was scheduled for the usual visit, not the actual root canal itself. However, due to the extreme pain that had cropped up very quickly, Dr. Mischenko decided it was best to begin at this initial visit. She called to check on me the next day.
