I saw Amy for a few sessions a couple years ago. Now that I’ve had time to reflect on my experience, I can’t in good faith recommend her to anyone. During my assessment, she refused to allow me to discuss my symptoms. I have struggled with internalized ADHD symptoms my entire life, and it took a lot of strength and courage to reach out for help in adulthood when I realized the extent to which it has impacted my functioning. Women are historically under diagnosed with ADHD, as symptoms are often internal, and not apparent to ... read more
Amy conducted a one hour assessment with our son, diagnosed him and prescribed him medication. Since we were not part of that evaluation and with our son's permission, I emailed her to ask a series of questions about what the medication does, what side effects it might have, why she was calling for bloodwork to be run, etc. After waiting almost a week for her answers, she responded with no additional information about her diagnosis, the medication itself, nor what the bloodwork would be for. She then said that we were welcom... read more
I've been with Dr. Edwards for a few years now. She has helped me tremendously and I enjoy how our check-ins go. She has worked with me to manage my anxiety and depression and it has been a game changer for me. Highly recommend.
Dr Edwards has been consistently responsive and professional. She worked with me to find a treatment protocol that has helped me become functional after being on the edge of hopelessness.
Good experience in the past. She had to quit seeing me because Medicare quit paying her
Amy Edwards was very eager to prescribe me multiple unnecessary medications in less than one year. In turn, this caused my mental health to further deteriorate. I left in worse health than I when I started seeing her. While in her office, she barely made eye contact and often acted disinterested. You could not pay me to go back to her, and I would not recommend anyone else to either.
Dr. Edwards has shown compassion and caring on my visits with her. She is obviously well versed and experienced in her field.
I put off seeing a psychiatrist despite knowing that is what I really needed. As with most of my personal experiences with healthcare providers, I expected this to be some battle where I had to fight and advocate for myself to get the help I needed. That couldn’t be anything further from what happened! Dr. Edwards listened to me, gave feedback and overall great commentary. She expressed understanding for my situation. After our talk she came to a conclusion and picked a path for us to try. We tried a new medication and it re... read more
