Jeyapalan performed surgery to remove a tumor from my breast. She botched the operation by removing a piece of flesh that she said was the tumor. I finally went to Duke Cancer Center to have the tumor removed. I am fortunate that another physician in Pinehurst found her error. In my opinion, she is an awful surgeon and should not be permitted to operate on humans or animals. Too bad she is still performing as a physician.

I became a patient of Dr. J 10 years ago. I have had excellent experiences over the years. I am saddened that she is no longer with Pinehurst Surgical. If I can find her, and she is close enough I would definately follow her to her new practice. She has been very personable and I felt like she was also a friend, not just my doctor.

I really just wish she would have given me more information about how all patients heal differently. She could have been kind enough to talk to me over the phone to reassure me what I was feeling was normal. Instead, I have been resorting to research on Google and Facebook support groups as she still has been too busy to talk to me as is her nurse. I am a patient and should not be treated as an inconvenience. On the other hand, I do seem to be healing. My wounds are getting smaller and bruising is going away. Although this s... read more
