Not sure what I did to make her angry as it was my first experience with her. She was impatient, tried to lecture me on my disorder, and gave no helpful information on my medication. Her attitude could be very detrimental to someone in crisis or someone who doesn’t understand their disorder. I refused to see her again.
I have been with Dr. Kazi for nearly 15 years. I met her at Northwestern Hospital, Winfield and her words to me were " I will be there for you" and she always has been! She is compassionate. She sees the person as well as the pain. Appointment time is whatever length of time it takes to get things done. If I only need 5 minutes that's great too If I need 15 she has time too....I have had to call her office so many times in a panic because I was not doing well and she IS THERE every single time. Dr. Kazi is one of the best Drs. I've ever been to. She's VERY caring, such a wonderful Lady as well as psychiatrist. I highly recommend her. She really cares, and makes time for you. She doesn't rush you.
Dr. Kazi was extremely sympathetic to certain "punctuality issues" that can go hand in hand with my disorder. She and the rest of the staff were very understanding and flexible on scheduling. During actual sessions she always seemed engaged and perceptive. Meds did take some trial and error but we did eventually land on 1-2 that helped.
You won't find a more caring Doctor who has compassion and really listens to your concerns. Medication knowledgeable, does not abuse. She will not prescribe something you do not need. Soft spoken and very intelligent. Finally someone that knows what she is doing. If you are struggling she is the one to call I highly recommend her.
Extremely moody person, something I didn't expect in a Psychiatrist. Look for second and third opinions.
She came into the office in a very nasty mood so I chose to find another doctor. Her diagnosis proved to be wrong and I have been getting much better since I went elsewhere.
I absolutely love Dr. Kazi! I met her in an outpatient program setting and have stayed with her since that experience. It has only been a few months but she is one of the best psychiatrists I have ever had. Friendly, always listens to your needs and concerns, and you can tell she is compassionate and good at what she does. I definitely recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Kazi is a thorough and compassionate doctor. Office is nice and staff friendly.
