I have been a patient since 2013. I was using a cane. I have never had surgery for my back, but today i walk unassisted and have a better quality of life because of this man.
Horrific. Why this man is in this specialty is beyond me. A change to UPMC for You insurance due to layoff made it necessary to find a new pain management doctor, having been at my previous doctor for years prior. I have had several spinal surgeries in my neck and back, been through all modes of treatment for the past 10 years, leading up to what was an at least bearable existence with pain medication. Dr. Sandhu is an amazing doctor he has gone above and beyond trying to help me with all of my pain management needs and has been successful on the many attempts that he has made unless it happened to be an issue that was unable to be helped due to severe damage that injections would only help short term. I would recommend Dr. Sandhu to anyone looking for a pain management doctor.
I had a visit with Sandhu, I felt that he was cold and inattentive to me as a patient. He did not take time to listen to what I had to say and instead focused on prior medical information, despite that some of it was based on misdiagnosis. I truly feel that he can be a better doctor if he would take time to listen carefully about what his patients have to say and be more caring. He genuinely does not seem to care about his patients, I felt like a number.
I have had a number of good experiences with Dr. Sandhu. I was always well informed prior to any procedure forthcoming. He always explained my options in full detail and any of the problems that may occur during a procedure and after. I would recommend Dr. Sandhu to anyone with chronic pain problems.
