Dr Alvin Chang is a kind and caring doctor who had helped my elderly father for the past several years. I have also worked with Dr. Chang personally as a case manager for the elderly, and all the staff, nursed and patients loved working with him. The negative reviews are mostly about his front staff, but Dr Chang as a provider is 5 stars and excellent!
Tried to call this place after a car accident. As Dr. Chang was assigned as my PCP of Blue shield HMO insurance. One of the rudest Taiwanese women answered the phone, speaking poor English. Told me I wasn’t on their list something. ANY APPOINTMENT MADE THRU INSURANCE PROVIDER WEBSITE DONESNT COUNT! Worst experience ever had
Was assigned Dr Chang by Blue Shield. Tried to call 3 times to make first appointment, but they never picked up the phone. Will find another PCP in the network. I had a doctor like this once and could never get anything done - referrals took months to get approved, etc.
I had to change providers in order to even make an appointment- but before I could, his receptionists, especially the scheduling staff are the worst! Was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes (they blamed it on IT problems, but I had called two days before to check on the same issue and didn't have any problems). Called two more times and again had to wait over 10 minutes, so I decided to try the operator. The operator confirmed the rude receptionist's name being Loveleen L.
