Dr. Axe is the best in his field. He didn't get there by not caring for his patients. I feel what some consider arrogance is his confidence in his expert skills. I've had two rotator cuff surgeries due to injuries. I am still under his care from the second surgery. I would not consider using anyone else!

Left him because his staff is sooooo RUDE! He's good but the time you spend with him is so little. The time you spend trying to get the correct paper work , appts and prescriptions is unacceptable. There aren't enough competent people and then they are rude to you and you are a captive audience.

Months after a knee replacement this guy kept saying to come back in a month, it'll be fine. He claims to LISTEN to his patients? Not at all!! His Nurse Practitioner (Brackin) speaks and he follows. Whatever she says he repeats back like a recording, WHY? Even though he may do the most knee replacements in Delaware, he needs to know what went wrong if there is a problem. He didn't and it didn't even appear he cared! If everything goes fine GREAT, if not you are in trouble! After about 7 months of pain he said " I think you a... read more

If Dr. Axe were half as good as he thought he was, he'd be twice as good as he is. The procedure he did on my knee made me much worse; I'm now in constant pain. If he ever tells you that you need a lateral release, do yourself a favor and walk away.

I recently started going to Dr. Axe. I will agree and say that his bedside manner is not great. He answered a cell phone call from his daughter (who was wishing him a happy birthday) in the middle of my visit. However, He def knows his stuff. He explained to me that I needed surgery on my knee and why. He said he would not make me worse. I was happy to be able to schedule surgery a week away. I will be having surgery on the 17 of this month.

I really am impressed with Dr. Axe. He scoped my shoulder that was injured playing "touch football". I need to finish therapy but its going great. I will be back with the gang before the Superball. His staff was great as well. He says the take of people who want to stay active and that me.

My experience with Dr. Axe has been nothing but positive. At 55 years old with a bad knee he has allowed me to continue to play basketball with my son. He scoped my knee and had be in therapy and back on the court pain free. I'm not as young as I used to be but I can still play. And by the way his assistant Bob his assistant is back ! However said he died got that wrong also.

Total agreement with all comments about Dr.A being rude and arrogant, unfortunately. Top notch surgeon....but can you say "God complex?" While he did create a new knee for me some 11 years ago, my slow rehab at times (excessive scar tissue didn't help) made him accusatory, angry and downright cruel, even the p/t was shocked. I reluctantly returned 2 yrs ago and quickly switched to his colleague, Dr. Crain, who was much much more HUMAN. My last brief encounter w/Dr.Axe resulted in my teenage son whispering confidentially to m... read more
